Hydrogen from the region for the region - the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region has successfully entered the hydrogen economy. We will be celebrating the success of the H2Rivers and H2Rhine-Neckar flagship projects at a specialist event and discussing the future viability of hydrogen in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region with experts.

An investment volume of over 100 million euros has helped to create important synergy effects in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and the neighboring central Neckar region. The entire hydrogen value chain has been established in the region: from renewable production, distribution and storage to use in various mobility applications. Come and see for yourself!

With a varied mix of lectures, panel discussions, an accompanying exhibition and insights into local, national and European hydrogen strategies, we want to exchange ideas with an expected 500 participants. What lessons have we learned from the projects? How can the regional hydrogen ecosystem be further expanded on this basis? What challenges do we face for a future-proof hydrogen economy? These and other questions will guide us through the day together.

TheH2Rivers project is being funded by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure as part of the National Innovation Program for Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP2) with 20 million euros in investment grants. The HyLand program is coordinated by NOW GmbH and implemented by Project Management Jülich (PtJ). The Baden-Württemberg Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector is funding the H2Rhein-Neckar demonstration project with 16.7 million euros as part of the BW Automotive Industry Strategy Dialogue.
