Ladies and Gentlemen,

With the German network, the federal government is ensuring a nationwide, demand-oriented and user-friendly fast charging network throughout Germany by 2026. A total of 900 locations with around 8,000 HPC fast-charging points will close any remaining "blank spots" on the charging map. The nearest fast-charging point will then be just a few minutes away.

In the Fast Charging Act (SchnellLG), the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) was given the task of ensuring this nationwide and needs-based provision of fast charging infrastructure. To this end, the BMDV and Autobahn GmbH have awarded 900 regional locations and 200 highway locations to charging point operators in tenders for the construction and operation of HPC fast-charging infrastructure.

What significance does the German network have for Baden-Württemberg and specifically for your municipality?

The National Centre for Charging Infrastructure, the State Agency e-mobil BW, the Association of Cities BW and the Association of Municipalities BW invite you to this topic on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 12:00 - 16:00 at the Design Offices in Stuttgart or online via livestream.

We would like to inform you:

  • on the current status of electromobility and charging infrastructure in Baden-Württemberg
  • the German network and current developments in the charging infrastructure,
  • the plans and activities of the charging point operators in the German network.

Ifyour municipality is located in a so-called search area for charging infrastructure, i.e. an operator is equipping a location with 4 to 16 charging points on site in the near future and in some cases also building corresponding ancillary facilities such as toilets, seating, playgrounds and even catering facilities, you as a municipality have received an invitation by e-mail with the registration link.

In addition to specialist presentations by representatives of the National Centre for Charging Infrastructure, the state of Baden-Württemberg and the charging point operators, there will therefore be the opportunity to exchange ideas and network on specific questions both on site and as a digital format. For an optimal exchange and targeted networking, we recommend on-site participation.

Further advance information on the Germany Network, the search areas of the Germany Network and the planning tools of the National Coordination Center can be found at: https: //nationale-leitstelle.de/foerdern/deutschlandnetz/.
