Challenge / Goal
The initial challenge faced by our municipality was streamlining the interaction between our 40 subsidiaries and our citizens, as each of them are operated with their own websites and applications. Our citizens were facing problems accessing to municipal information disbursed in hundreds of websites and tens of apps. Furthermore our municipality needed to enhance its direct communication with citizens and involve them in decision-making processes of Istanbul.
Solution
After exploring various solutions for our challenges, we had decided to address these issues by deploying a City SuperApp. In this platform, every authenticated user has a secure digital identity and can seamlessly navigate between municipal services. ID of users are associated with MiniApps of municipal subsidiaries and a seamless user journey is enabled. With the communication feature of the SuperApp are municipality has direct access to targeted groups of citizens via broadcast messages and push notifications. Instant polls and surveys are submitted to citizens to ensure their democratic participation in municipal decisions.
