Challenge / Goal
Against the background of the EU Directive 2010/40/EU (ITS-Directive), the city of Neckarsulm sees great potential in the development of value-added services based on mobility data to achieve its set goals and to reduce the adverse effects of mobility.
The goal of the project is to align the Mobility Data Platform BW with the needs and goals of small and medium-sized municipalities. The city of Neckarsulm has set itself the goal of using the platform along concrete use cases and testing processes of data integration and use as a pilot municipality alongside the Stuttgart region.
Solution
The use cases represent digitally-supported mobility solutions to sustainably manage and reduce traffic and to promote an increase in the attractiveness of alternative modes of transport (public transport, cycling and walking).
The development of use cases, or the digitization, generation, integration and use of mobility-relevant data in the individual use cases, is intended to specifically address the challenges in the area of mobility in the city of Neckarsulm. Appropriate mobility solutions are to be developed in line with the needs of citizens.
