GOAT is an innovative open source WebGIS platform with planning intelligence. The web tool is populated with a variety of data and is distributed by us as SaaS to municipalities, counties, regions and planning offices, among others.
In addition to the standard GIS functionalities, GOAT offers analytical functionalities for integrated urban and transport planning. Among other things, GOAT can be used to perform various accessibility analyses (walking, cycling, public transport MIV). Thus, we enable planners to easily analyze the current state, as well as to quickly assess the impact of new concepts and projects, such as the construction of new infrastructure (e.g. bike lane connection) or facilities (e.g. kindergartens, e-charging stations, bikesharing). It can also add new residential development and analyze how well the new population has access to key destinations (shopping, education, mobility, recreation). Planning processes can thus be more efficient, less expensive, and more fun.
Currently, GOAT is used in Freiburg, London, Amsterdam, as well as the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region, among others.
